Hideaki Watanabe
Former Commissioner of the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) and current Chairman of the Defense Technology Foundation. With deep expertise in defense technology and cybersecurity, Mr. Watanabe has been instrumental in advancing the adoption of Japan’s “Defense Industry Cyber Security Manual” (official name: Special Provision on Securing Information Security in Procurement of Equipment and Services, aligned with U.S. NIST SP800-171), making significant contributions to national security.

Shigeru Iwasaki
Shigeru Iwasaki graduated from the National Defense Academy of Japan (19th class), majored in aeronautical engineering. Upon graduating in 1975, he joined the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). He served as Commander of the 201st Fighter Squadron, Commander of the JASDF 2nd Air Wing, Director of Personnel and Training at the Air Staff Office, Commander of the Western Air Defense Force, and Vice Chief of the Air Staff. In 2009, he assumed the position of Commander of the Air Defense Command. In 2010, he became the 31st Chief of Staff of the JASDF. In 2012, he served as the fourth Chief of Staff, Joint Staff. After retiring, he served as the Special Advisor to the Minister of Defense. Iwasaki currently serves as Chairman of the Japan Self-Defense Forces veterans association, TAIYUKAI, and Chairman of the Japan Society for Security and Crisis Management.

Yoshihiro Sawada
As a project manager and chief supervisor at a leading cybersecurity and consulting firm, Mr. Sawada has contributed in numerous research and system development support projects for government agencies, including the Cabinet Secretariat, National Police Agency, and Ministry of Defense. He has held a key role in academic societies and associations within the cybersecurity field. In 2021, he joined SHIFT inc., where he has played a pivotal role in expanding the defense-related business as a core team member.

Manabu Koike
With over 30 years of experience at a major domestic think tank, Mr. Koike has been involved in research and system development support for national security-related agencies, including the Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JAXA. After joining SHIFT Inc. in 2024, he has been contributing to business expansion by leveraging his extensive relationships with international business intelligence companies such as Aviation Week Network.
Sadanao Kamo
As a project manager and team leader at a domestic defense equipment manufacturer, he was deeply involved in the planning, development, implementation, and operational support of command and control communication systems, as well as information communication networks. After joining SHIFT Inc. in 2023, he has been responsible for RMF consulting-related task, leveraging his extensive expertise in defense information systems.
